Discover Moroccan Pastries in the Bay Area: Introducing Lawza

If you've ever searched for a Moroccan bakery in the Bay Area, you know how rare it is to find authentic pastries that taste like home. That's why I started Lawza, a small-batch Moroccan bakery based in the South Bay Area, California. From chebakia to almond briwat, each pastry is handmade with care, carrying the flavors and traditions of Morocco right here in the Bay Area.

The story behind Lawza

Raised in a Moroccan-Algerian family, I grew up making pastries with my mother, filling our home with the aromas of warm honey, almonds, and orange blossom. After moving to California, I longed for those flavors and began recreating cherished family recipes. That journey led me to create Lawza, so I could share a taste of my heritage with the Bay Area community.

What makes Moroccan pastries unique

Morocco is home to a diverse world of pastries that are more than just desserts - they are a tale of hospitality, generosity and memory.
